Fitting it takes
about ten seconds.
Your pendant comes with 3 attachment rings — they're there so the stone sits exactly where it works best on your dog, whatever collar they wear.
Choose how the stone sits.
Thread the ring through the pendant's loop, then around the collar or harness strap and click it shut. Use whichever of the three fits around your collar or harness strap — they're different sizes simply because collars are.
Front of the collar, under the chin.
The stone works best resting at the front of the collar rather than sliding round the back. Give the collar a gentle tug once it's on — the pendant should stay put and the collar should still sit comfortably.
Clip it on and let it work.
No schedule, no timing, no "wear it for X minutes" rule. The stone doesn't need to touch the skin — resting on the collar, close to your dog, is all it takes.
Collars and harnesses come in every thickness there is, so we include three rings instead of one. Use whichever one goes around your dog's strap and clicks shut properly — that's the right one. The stone is identical either way.
Go with the smallest that closes comfortably. A tighter ring means the pendant sits flush against the collar instead of swinging around — it stays where you put it and stays out of the way.
Pop the other two in a drawer. New collar, new harness, or a ring that eventually wears out — you've already got the replacement.
Some dogs treat a new pendant like a toy. It's worth heading off, because chewing chips the stone and drains its grounding power — a bitten pendant works far less well than an intact one. The fix is simple: switch to the smallest ring that fits so it sits flush against the collar and stops swinging, and let them sniff it properly for a day. Once it isn't moving like a toy, almost every dog loses interest.
The stone is matched
to how much they bark.
This is the part most owners skim past — and it's the first thing to check if the effect feels lighter than expected. The more your dog barks, the more grounding it takes.
Size has nothing to do with how big your dog is — a small dog who barks at everything needs more grounding than a big quiet one. There's no rule to follow — put it on whenever your dog needs it. Just keep in mind: the hours it's off are the only ones it can't help with, so for a heavy barker, the simplest thing is to clip it on in the morning and leave it on. A pendant that only goes on for walks misses most of the day.

Some dogs simply take a little longer — that's normal, and it's almost always one of three things:
- 1The size is below their barking level. A 12 mm is made for the occasional alert — it won't carry a dog who barks at everything, all day. That's the most common reason an owner feels almost nothing, and it's the easiest one to fix.
- 2It isn't worn through the moments that set them off — at home too, not just on walks. The hours it's off are the only ones it can't help with.
- 3The stone isn't at full strength. A pendant that has spent weeks in storage and transit can arrive with less energy than it should have — recharge it overnight and give it a wipe.

A 6 cm Flower of Life selenite disc — selenite is the stone that recharges onyx. Rest your pendant on it and it draws the stone back to full strength.
8 hours, fully restored
One night on the disc — around 8 hours — fully restores the stone's energy, back to day-one power by morning, often even stronger.
The more you recharge it, the better it works — always. You can't over-charge it, so there's no timing to stress about. A well-charged stone simply grounds stronger and keeps your dog calmer. Best moment to do it: overnight, on a quiet evening at home. And if your dog is a heavy barker, or hasn't responded much yet, make it every night — that's the single most useful habit there is.

A clean stone holds its calming effect longer. Fur, oils and residue build up faster than you'd think.
How to use it
Every few days, 30 seconds. Take it off the collar and wipe gently in circles. No water or product needed.
Why it matters
A dirty stone grounds less effectively and the calm can fade. Made for the stone — a regular cloth can scratch it.
The easiest routine there is: the stone charges overnight, you wipe it in the morning, and it goes back on the collar at full strength. Thirty seconds a day. And if your dog hasn't responded much so far, do it every single morning — a clean, fully charged stone is a completely different stone from a dusty, run-down one.
When the effect fades after a while, the stone hasn't failed — it's almost always just run down, dirty, or chewed. Recharging or cleaning it brings the calm right back. Don't let the quiet you've built slip away.
